A DTD (Short for Duct Tape Dummy) is like a “cast” of your body that some fursuit makers use to ensure that certain fursuit parts, namely bodysuits, fit the specifications of your body specifically. This video is a great resource for understanding the process of making a duct tape dummy!
Remember, you will need:
- A few rolls of duct tape. Normally 2 is more than enough, but better safe than sorry!
- A paint suit (sometimes called coveralls). These can usually be found at your local home improvement store. Remember to purchase the size that best fits you for ease of use.
- A helper or two. You will most likely not be able to complete this duct tape dummy alone. To ensure a good quality DTD for us to use, you may want to get the help of at least one person to make it.
Remember, this DTD will become the pattern we use to make your bodysuit, so please ensure that your DTD is not too loose or too tight on your body. Be sure to email us at operations@scruffandtumblefursuits.com if you have any questions.
